Membership Benefits

The International Breathwork Training Alliance (IBTA) mission is an organization that reflects integrity of principles and ethics and provides professional breathwork standards of training. An international board of trainers has met to create a quality organizational structure and valuable benefits package for its members and supporters. We believe this is a major step in the evolution of breathwork as a professionally recognized healing and growth modality.

We are accepting applications in the following categories for yearly memberships:
Fee for current IBF members is $25 less for all Membership Categories.

Student/IBTA Supporter

Student
In a breathwork training program and has not yet been certified as a breathworker by a school or breathwork organization.

IBTA Supporter
Supports professional breathwork principles and ethical practice.

Student/Supporter Membership - $75 USD per year

  • Access to several years of past issues of The Healing Breath: an e-Journal of Breathwork Practice, Psychology and Spirituality (a scholarly academic journal employing peer review evaluation process). www.healingbreathjournal.org

  • Name listed on IBTA web site

IBTA Category I

Breathwork practitioners or trainers not certified by an IBTA approved School Training Program or its equivalency and non IBTA approved schools/training programs who subscribe to IBTA principles and adhere to IBTA ethics with a signed ethics form on file.

Category 1 Membership ­ $100 USD per year
(Fully paid members of the International Breathwork Foundation receive a $25 reduction in their membership fee because they already have a subscription to Breathe Magazine.)

IBTA Category II

Professional breathwork practitioners and trainers approved under IBTA Category II standards and Schools/Training Programs approved under IBTA Category II standards.

Category II Membership
Practitioners $100; Trainers $150; Schools/Training Programs $200 per year

Practitioner Benefits

  • Four issues of Breathe Magazine
  • Access to past years issues of The Healing Breath e-Journal
  • Subscription to IBTA International Breathwork News e-Newsletter
  • Name, contact information and web link on IBTA web site
  • Certificate as Category II Practitioner
  • Use of IBTA dated logo on advertisements

Trainer Benefits:
A trainer must have been a breathwork practitioner for at least 4 years and have led breathworker trainings for 2 years.

  • Four issues of Breathe magazine
  • Access to past years issues of The Healing Breath e-Journal
  • Subscription to IBTA International Breathwork News e-Newsletter
  • Name, contact information and web link on IBTA web site
  • Certificate as Category II trainer
  • Use of IBTA dated logo on training advertisements and materials

School/Training Program Benefits:
A Breathwork School/Training Program must have given breathworker trainings according to IBTA standards for at least 2 years.

  • Access to past years issues of The Healing Breath, e-Journal
  • Subscription to IBTA International Breathwork News, e-Newsletter
  • Name, contact information and web link on IBTA web site
  • Certificate as an IBTA approved School/Training Program
  • Use of IBTA dated logo and training advertisements and materials

The IBTA Board of Directors is particularly interested in learning of breathwork schools/training programs trainers and practitioners who may become resources to a wider community. Our future vision is of a members' online forum innovative publications and professional conferences.
